Four Reasons Your Business Needs Sage
Friday March 21, 2014

There are always plenty of things your business could be spending money on, and making decisions about which areas you should prioritise can quickly become quite confusing. Do you invest more on services or marketing? To hire staff or to get better equipment and motivate the staff you already have?

Even when you have carefully allocated budgets to each of the different areas of your business, there will still be decisions to make within department about how the money can best be used. It can cause more problems than it resolves, and can create new job roles in its own right.

We’d like to suggest to you that the absolute best thing you can invest in is a multi-user, highly efficient ERP platform such as Sage 200.

1. Allows more efficient management

Sage 200 is designed to make every aspect of your business simpler, and when used effectively it can do just that. In essence it will save you both time and money. Your sales teams will be able to access full customer history at the click of a button. It means that promising leads will never fall between the cracks, and the focus can be directed towards this.

While the software itself won’t directly streamline the way your company is functioning, the CRM which is included in the on premise version of Sage 200 can make a world of difference to how teams are managed and work scheduled.

2. Payment options are flexible

If cash flow is a problem and you just can’t afford a large outgoing, have a look into cloud based Sage 200. Rather than paying for the software outright, you pay a fixed monthly fee which is easier to manage. It also means that you can easily change the package you’re using based on how you use your ERP and set up takes no time at all; you’ll need a login and not an installation process.

3. Can vastly improve time management

Because all the areas of your business will be able to access client records, lead information and reports when they need to, you’ll be able to see where time is being wasted, and make everything easier for your staff, which will in turn improve customer service and productivity.

If your employees are working with out of date technology it can be slow to set up, and reports will have to be created manually, which can take hours or even days. This can be automated within Sage 200, allowing for time to be spent on other areas.

4. Different software available to suit a range of different businesses

Sage 200 isn’t the only ERP. If you’re looking to expand your business overseas you might find that Sage 300 is a better option, or you can just purchase the CRM to give you a comprehensive view of your business.
