Sage 200 Add-on of the month – Spindle Document Capture
Wednesday September 18, 2013

Spindle Document Capture for Sage 200 is this month’s featured add-on and enhances the Sage 200 Suite with the ability to capture, archive and view documents directly within the system. Transform your document management process with Document Capture and save time, money and even office space.

Documents can be instantly viewed and grouped per account in Sage 200 saving you time and eliminating the days of searching around the office for the documents you require. Businesses can benefit from improved efficiency and a reduction in costs through time savings and a lowered requirement on storage space.

Batches of documents can easily be scanned all in one go including multi-page documents. By using Barcodes Spindle Document Capture automatically recognises the length of each document and can be grouped with relating documents e.g. invoices to the matching purchase order.

The Pending Tray acts as the holding area for all incoming documents; it is where captured documents wait for archiving into Sage 200.  Users without a Sage 200 license can still scan documents into the Pending Tray, a holding area for all incoming documents.  The Sage 200 user is then able to archive the documents across to Sage 200 as and when they desire.

With the responsibility on businesses to reduce environmental impact, a paperless office is not just an efficient way of doing business but also promotes Corporate Social Responsibility.  The solution offers the greatest benefit of a truly paperless office when combined with Spindle Professional, the outgoing document distribution solution.

Spindle Document Capture integrates into a number of modules within Sage 200 including; Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Nominal Ledger, Cash Book and Project Accounting.
